Today I was sworn into my second term as a Member of the United States House of Representatives. Thank you for your support and well wishes, which helped lead to today’s ceremony in Washington, D.C.
I also wanted to give you an update on the leadership role I’ve cultivated in the short time I’ve been in Congress. Recently, my peers elected me to serve as Vice Chair of the Congressional Women’s Caucus, as well as on the Executive Board of the Congressional Black Caucus. In addition to my existing role as a Senior Whip, I am a Ranking Member on the Oversight and Government Reform Subcommittee on the Interior. My work with the Skilled Workforce and the Adoption & Foster Care caucuses continues to be a passionate focus.
Happy New Year to you and your family. There is daunting work ahead, but it is vitally important that we rise to meet the challenges of our time.
Please stay in touch!
